Stuart provides a warm, empathic experience to counselling and therapy. He invites individuals and couples to work through and resolve difficulties and barriers in new ways. Stuart’s clients explore future possibilities and navigate problems and distress that have prevented them from enjoying more meaningful and satisfying lives. When working with clients, his engaging and non-judgmental approach enables family members, couples, and individuals to express and explore difficult thoughts and emotions safely, build on strengths, and make helpful changes to their lives.

Stuart is a Clinical member of the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) and a Clinical Family Therapist with the Australian Association of Family Therapy (AAFT). He is registered as a Provisional Psychologist with the Australian Health Practioners  Regulation Agency (AHRPA). Stuart helps heal relationships and resolve difficulties and mental health problems.

Stuart has a particular interest in supporting blended families as well as couples who have immigrated to Australia, having experienced these transitions in life himself. He believes that relationships play a critical often undervalued role in our lives, as we are hardwired for relationships both to other people and the contexts in which we live. When we feel that relationships do not meet our needs, we can lose confidence and our sense of comfort about ourselves. This can lead to intense thoughts and emotions that can be unhelpful and influence us in negative ways and lead to symptoms that often have labels such as depression, anxiety, and behavioural problems.

Stuart tailors each counselling session to support the unique needs of each individual, couple, and family that he works with.
